Neva Hepler
 

SANTA FE – Mrs. Neva Joyce Hepler passed from this life Friday afternoon in Houston.

Born April 5, 1943 in Hargis, Louisiana, Mrs. Hepler had been a longtime resident of Santa Fe, previously of Hitchcock. She was a member of the 1961 graduating class of Santa Fe High School and had worked as secretary to the head of the neonatology department at UTMB for over 30 years, retiring in 2002. Neva enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, collecting angels and Betty Boop objects and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma.

Survivors include her husband of over 46 years, Bill Hepler; son, Jeffrey Hepler; daughter, Trayce Hepler Hernandez and husband, Jose; grandchildren, Julianne and Emma Hernandez, all of Santa Fe; and her brother, Guyron Fredieu and wife, Joanne of San Angelo.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, Pastor John Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Alta Loma Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, (409) 925-3501.

Visitation with the family will begin 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
