Patti Sue Hansen

 

SANTA FE – Mrs. Patti Sue Hansen passed from this life Saturday afternoon, June 26, 2010, in Webster.

Born September 12, 1963 in Washington, D.C., Patti had been a 20 year resident of Santa Fe, had worked as a corporate instructor for Centerpoint Energy until 2006 and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Patti was a former member of the Houston Rose Society and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She had served as President of the Galveston County Foster Parent Association from 2002 to 2004 and, along with her husband, had opened her home and heart by caring for and sharing her love with over 100 foster children during a 13-year time span. She was also a charter member of the Villages By The Bay Christmas Club and had served as the editor of their newsletter for several years.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ira and Jane Gray, survivors include her husband of over 16 years, Raymond J. Hansen, III; children, Heather Morgan of Santa Fe, Walter Morgan (Rachel) of Altus, OK, Thomas Hansen of Houston, Kelsey and Kayla Hansen and Amber Dickie, all of Santa Fe; brothers, Rand Lee Gray of Hillsboro, OR, Christopher Alan Gray (Patsy) of Pearland; sister, Nancy Jean Gray-Goldberg (Louis) of Pembroke Pines, FL.; and her grandchildren, Hannah Milburn and Gabriel Morgan.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Reverend Bill Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be Ken Dearmond, Anthony Evans, William Nelson, Marcus Peltier, Derrick Polk and James Pollock. Honorary bearer will be Jason Milburn.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home,10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
