ALGOA - Mrs. Rosie Lee (Cook) Parker passed from this life peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2007, in Friendswood.
Born November 20, 1924 in Waller County, TX, Mrs. Parker had been a resident of Algoa for 49 years. She had been of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time fishing, caring for others and going to garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, John J. Parker; her parents; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her sons, John Lee Parker and wife, Rhonda of Texas City, Robert James Parker and wife, Lori; daughters, Catherine Pauline Parker and husband, Steve, Debra Kay Stokesberry and husband, Steve, Donna Lynn Clegg and husband, Kent, all of Algoa, Elizabeth Ann Cummins and husband, Mark of Noble, OK; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Cook of San Felipe, Marvin Cook and wife, Darla of Palestine.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, October 5, 2007, at Fieldstore Cemetery in Waller, TX with Mr. Mark Cummins officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.
