Teressa Maxine Roberson

 

TEXAS CITY - Mrs. Teressa Maxine Roberson passed from this life Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Texas City.

 

     Born in Naborton, LA, August 2, 1925.  Mrs. Roberson had been a professional writer and painter.  She had written many articles for the California and Colorado newspapers and magazines.  Teressa was a professional oil painter and taught private art classes alone with her oil paintings.  Many of her paintings were sold around the world.

 

     Teressa and her husband, Glenn were worldly travelers and had collected many beautiful items while traveling.  After traveling she became a homemaker and a wonderful cook.

 

     Teressa is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ray Roberson; daughter, Deborah Cheatwood-Bale; granddaughter, Carolyn Renee Vaughn. 

 

     She is survived by her sons, Robert Rader Mendenhall, Stephen Hisey; foster daughter, Deaintha R. (Sissy) Olivier; grandsons, Timothy Mendenhall, Patrick W. Smith; great-grandsons, William Smith, Benjamin Smith, Taelir Steck, Liam Smith; brother, Robert Lee Bell; sister, Sally Bell Collinsworth; a special niece, Martha Scott; a very special sole mate, Adam Naquin.

 

     A visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.  A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

 

     In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to, donations can be made to The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210-4486, in memory of Deborah Cheatwood-Bale.
