Virginia Mae Bynum
 
    
     SANTA FE – Mrs. Virginia Mae Bynum passed from this life Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at her home.
 
     Born October 17, 1921 in Newport News, Virginia, Mrs. Bynum had been a resident of Santa Fe since the late 1960’s, previously of Carterville, GA.  Mrs. Bynum had worked with the Harris County Tax Office and had been a product demonstrator at Sam’s Club in Texas City for the last 13 years. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and driving on long trips.  
 
     Preceded in death by her husband, Grady M. Bynum and stepson, Cecil Grady Bynum, survivors include her daughter, Judythe “Judy” Smith of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Barbara Younie and husband, David, Sgt. Dawn Rochelle Miller and fiancé, Sgt. Adin Salconvich; great-grandchildren, George R. Kent, PFC. Brett Alan Nissen and Sydney Rae Nissen. 
 
     Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2008, at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Chad Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
