Vivian P. Peden
SANTA FE – Mrs. Vivian P. Peden passed from this life Saturday evening, August 6, 2011, at her home.
Born March 27, 1936 in Dallas, Mrs. Peden had been a resident of Galveston County for more than 55 years previously of Dallas. She had worked for the U.S. Government as an administrative assistant at OSHA before retiring, was a member of the Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church and especially enjoyed bowling, reading and knitting.
Preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Victoria (Moreno) Padilla and brother, Samuel Padilla, survivors include her husband, Chester Peden; children and their spouses, Robert and India Peden of Shepherd, Regina and Jimmy Reeves of Magnolia, Arkansas and Tina Peden of Kingsland; grandchildren, Delaney Peden, Kacy Reeves, David Reeves and wife, Kristen, Matt Reeves, Hannah Peden; great-grandchild, Trevor Reeves; sisters, Christina Reyas and husband, John of Chicago, Illinois, Olivia Valenzia of Grand Prairie; nieces and nephews, Tommy and Laura Valenzia, Monica Gibson, Michele and David Hurst; numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in the Chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Deacon Sam Ausmus, III officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
