Willie Mae Leggett
ARCADIA - Mrs. Willie Mae Leggett passed from this life Friday morning, August 27, 2010, in Webster.
Born September 13, 1929 in Mansfield, LA, Mrs. Leggett had been a resident of Arcadia for 43 years. She had been employed as a cafeteria worker for Santa Fe High School for 12 years, was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Leggett; parents, Preston and Donni (Bynum) Wardell; sister, Tamer Golden.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Iven Leggett of Arcadia; grandchildren, Theresa Leggett, Nicole Leggett; brother, Bill Wardell of Santa Fe; sisters, Lillie Mae Ramsey of Shreveport, LA, Rachel Cabiness and husband, John of Orange, TX.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Mark Ballard, Jerry Bradke, Donnie Goodson, C. J. Leggett, John McClure and Al Ryan.
