Timothy P. Lorfing

 

SANTA FE – Timothy P. Lorfing passed away peacefully Thursday, June 16, 2011, at his home with his mother and brother at his side.

 

     Tim was born July 30, 1958 in Mercedes, TX and had been a resident of Santa Fe, TX since 1968.  He had worked as a truck driver for 10 years, retiring from Stevens Transport Co., and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing games with his family.

 

     Preceded in death by his father, Theophil Lorfing and his paternal and maternal grandparents, Tim is survived by his daughter, Miranda Griffin and her children, Kathy, Nicholas and Phillip Dewitt; his mother, Lois Kalbow; his sister, Linda Theiler and her son, Zachary; and his brother, Roy “Bo” Lorfing.  Tim leaves also his special aunt and uncle, Jimmy and Charlotte Odum of Thomasville, GA, special uncle, Richard White of Signal Mountain, TN; and very special friends and neighbors who contributed greatly to Tim’s care during his illness, Robert and Billie Morris of Santa Fe.

 

     Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with an informal time of family remembrances at 7:00 p.m.
