ALGOA - Mr. Tim V. Summers passed from this life Monday evening, December 15, 2008, in Houston.
Born July 18, 1956 in Galveston, Tim had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1981, previously of Hitchcock. A craftsman by trade, he had worked as a construction supervisor at CSA in Houston for 27 years and was currently a project manager and partner with A & W Management. He was a member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Hitchcock and the historical society of Avoyelle’s Parish in Louisiana and had recently finished an 8-month restoration project on 108-year-old “Laura’s House”. He also owned and operated TPS Portables and Environmental, LLC and was instrumental in providing office buildings, showers, bunks, etc. for disaster preparation and relief.
Survivors include his children, Timothy V. Summers, Jr., Megan Marie Summers, Michael Luke Dupont and wife, Shannon; honorary son, Nick Hill; mother, Naomi Summers; his best friend, Susan Summers Archer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Lynda Summers, Bill and Janet Summers; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Brock Westover; grandchildren, Brooke Nicole ”Oakley” Dupont, Michael Luke “Gus” Dupont, Steven James “Woodrow” Dupont; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church with Father Craig Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Tim Summers, Jr., Michael Dupont, Bill Summers, Gary Summers, Grover Salsbury and Bob Archer. Honorary bearers will be Nick Hill, Brooke, Michael and Steven Dupont.
