Will Adam Wortham, 50, passed over this earthly world Friday, November 25, 2011. Born in Galveston, Texas July 21, 1961 Mr. Wortham found and received Christ into his life at an early age. He attended public schools in Galveston and graduated in the Class of 1980. He was a longtime member of Live Oak Baptist Church where he served graciously on the Usher Board, and was a resident of Texas City, Texas.
Mr. Wortham is preceded in death by his parents, Odie and Albennie Wortham; grandparents, Rev. James and Clemmie Price; a sister, Joycelyn Wortham-Taylor; an uncle, Moses Hunter; and an aunt, Audrey LaVera Price. He leaves to cherish his memories one uncle, Booker T. Price; one brother, Odie Wortham, III; seven sisters, Patricia Johns (Leslie), Vanessa Wortham, Brenda Matthews (Columbus), Etta Wortham, Wyzell Lewis (James), Albennie “BeBe” Wortham, Clemmie White-Matthews (Edward), and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A home-going celebration for Mr. Will Adam Wortham will be held at Live Oak Baptist Church, 1020 32nd Street, Galveston, Texas, Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., Dr. Vernon L. Baines officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
