William Paul Palmer

    

DICKINSON- Mr. William Paul Palmer passed from this life on July 19, 2011 in Texas City.

 

     Born on May 12, 1930 in Racine, Ohio, Mr. Palmer had been a resident of this community for the past 29 years and was currently living in Dickinson.  He had retired as a truck driver and enjoyed working in his garden, woodworking and raising birds.  Mr. Palmer proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Dickinson VFW Post # 6378.

 

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ethel Palmer, by his brothers, Roy and Leo Palmer and by his first wife, June.

 

     Mr. Palmer is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Nancy Jean Palmer; his children, Paul Monte Palmer of Ohio, Pamilla Joy Palmer of Cleveland, OH, Dennis Michael Palmer of Streetsboro, OH, Doris Elaine Pierce of Aurora, OH, Christopher Paul Palmer and wife, LaDonna of Dickinson, William Harlan Palmer of Dickinson, Keith Allen Palmer and wife, Crystal Gayle of Dickinson, Jeffrey Leigh Palmer and wife, Jennifer of Woodville; two sisters, Ora Belle Frost of Medlin, OH and Elleanor Rising of California.  Mr. Palmer was also a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

 

     A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Medlin officiating.  Military honors rendered under the auspices of the Dickinson VFW Post #6378.
