Lois Jean McCallay

 

TEXAS CITY – Ms. Lois Jean McCallay passed from this life Thursday morning, December 16, 2010, in Texas City.

 

     Born October 14, 1953, in Galveston, TX, Ms. McCallay had been a lifetime resident of Galveston County.  She was a loving homemaker and a believer in Christ who felt at home in any church.  Lois Jean was known as a fun loving, compassionate woman who gladly helped friends in need.  Her favorite past time was being “Super Granny” to her granddaughter, Madison. 

 

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis A. Densman and Bobby Jean (Locke); brother, James Ray Constantine.

 

     Survivors include her son, Jody Blue Mata of Dickinson; granddaughter, Madison Blue Mata; sisters, Debbie Rouser and husband, Terry of Hitchcock, Joyce Byrd of La Marque; sister-in-law, Juanita Constantine; nieces, Amy Constantine and Sage Rouser; nephews, Sean Rouser and Shea Rouser; dear friend, Judy Mata of Galveston.

 

     Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Franklin officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

     Casketbearers will be Jody Blue Mata, Justin Mata, Alvaro (Snookie) Robles, Sean Rouser, Shea Rouser and Terry Rouser.
