In the 6 years or so that we were blessed to know Roger, I don’t remember ever hearing him complain. Regardless of whether we had to work in the heat or the cold, the rain and the mud, the pre-dawn darkness of a new day or the final hours long past the twilight, he always had a big smile, a good attitude and positive comments. He could give and take with the best of them and was always willing to go the extra mile to help someone. Our world could use more people like him!
Until we see him again, we’ll remember him each time we walk on our stage, see the catfish swim in our lake or the lights that dispel the darkness, for Roger had a hand in all of these.
