SANTA FE - Mr. Chance Thomas Patterson passed from this life Tuesday morning, April 1, 2014, as a result of an automobile accident south of Diboll, Texas. His final act was to heroically save the lives of his father and sister, Beth.

     Born April 18, 2001, Chance was a student at Santa Fe Junior High School.  He enjoyed playing basketball, his guitar, going to church, texting and playing video games, his goal in life was to be an aeronautical engineer. 

     Survivors include his father, Tom Patterson; grandmothers, Lillian Patterson, Sharon Norstrom; siblings, Michael Patterson and wife, Erin, John Patterson and wife, Paige, Matthew Patterson, Marishia Patterson, Devon Patterson, Alexus Patterson and Beth Patterson; numerous cousins and extended family.

         Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501. 

      Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Del Toler officiating.  A private cremation will follow.

     Chance’s brothers and Brian Strom will be honorary pallbearers.

     Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Chance’s name to your favorite children’s charity.
