Clyde Eugene Brandon
ARCADIA - Mr. Clyde Eugene Brandon passed from this life Friday morning, March 9, 2018, in Arcadia.
Born March 21, 1930 in Galveston, Mr. Brandon had been a lifelong resident of Arcadia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Clyde drilled water wells, installed septic systems, he was always working at fixing things. He had a knack for telling jokes, enjoyed dancing and picking his guitar, teaching his grandchildren how to play.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merritt and Margaret (Sanders) Brandon; wife, Thelma Reeves Brandon; grandparents, George and Carrie Brandon (who raised him).
Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Rose Brandon; daughter, Georgia Way and husband, Rob of League City; step-son, Jack Vanier and wife, Ellen of Santa Fe; step-daughters, Linda Achille and husband, Nick, Catherine Gehret and husband, Vernon, Connie Constantine and husband, Don all of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Robin Sibley and husband, David of League City; great-grandchildren, Madalyn Sibley and Alaina Sibley of League City; 9 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Jerry Stark officiating.
Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Clyde’s name to Santa Fe Christian Church, 13602 FM 1764, Santa Fe, Texas 77517.
