Genevieve Hauff Weyer

DICKINSON-Genevieve passed from this life to be with the Lord on December 14, 2017. She was born on August 15, 1937 in Mercedes, Texas. Genevieve was a Rodeo secretary, along with all her other jobs, for many years. She was inducted in the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2004. Marvin and Genevieve are lifetime members of The Galveston County Fair and Rodeo. She and Marvin enjoyed participating in Rodeo’s, swimming, fishing and many other outdoor events.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Maudie Hauff; brother, Donald Gene Hauff.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Marvin Weyer of Dickinson; nieces and nephews, Kathy Hauff Lang, Michael Hauff, Tina Louise Hauff and Susan Hauff; sister-in-law, Barbara Smith of Rusk, Texas and Elva Creppon of Santa Fe, Texas, who were there for support and prayers for her and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Reverend Mark Downs officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen Pennington, Mike Chamberlain, Max Creppon, Billy Creppon, Michael Grassmuck and Dale Weyer. Honorary bearers will be Billy Smith, Jr., Cody Holloway, Blaine Creppon, Reese Creppon and John Allen Pennington.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
