Jimmy L. “Don” English

SANTA FE – Mr. Jimmy L. “Don” English passed from this life Friday evening, May 12, 2017, in Houston, TX.

Born December 31, 1950 in Galveston, TX, Mr. English had been a resident of Santa Fe for 23 years. He was a member of Millwright Local Union 2232 for 40 years and was the proud owner of Don’s Trailer Manufacturing Company. Don enjoyed working on projects at home, boat riding, fishing and sports. He loved his pets, honky tonkin’ and especially spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy L. English and Betty Smith; step-mother, Linda English; brother, Danny Paul English.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 37 years, Marie English; sons, Chris English and wife, Amanda, Jeff English; daughters, Misty Wingate and husband, Jarrold, Tiffany English-Houston and husband, Josh, Shelley White, Kimberly Houston; sisters, Diana Robinson and husband, Clayton and Deborah English; grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, Chase, Courtney, AJ, Savannah, Aubrey, Colton, Mia, Austin, Blake, Baby Maddie, Rhyder, Rhyann; nieces, Dana, Rene, Riley, Emma and Mandy; nephews, Travis, Hunter, Andre, Troy, Danny and Shawn and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend John Kappe, officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Gray, Garrison Hare, Stephen Moore, Bill Smith, Terry Wingate, Matt Wentzel. Honorary bearers will be Garlyn Gray and Steve Register.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409)925-3501, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
