SANTA FE - Mrs. Jo Ann Howard passed from this life Wednesday morning, November 15, 2017, in Nassau Bay.

Mrs. Howard was born in Alvin, TX on July 10, 1946. She was an insurance agent for Allstate and eventually went into retail at Sears. You could always catch Jo Ann with a smile on her face. She loved getting her nails done, cooking, shopping or watching a good old movie, but her true passion was gardening. She grew many things, but she’ll always be remembered for her roses, hibiscus and hydrangeas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lena Mae (Brown) Tully; step-son, Clayton Steve Howard; nephew, Michael Tully.

Survivors include her loving husband of 23 years, Les Howard; daughters, Darla Lucas, Lisa Robertson, Amanda Gardine, Melissa Krc; step-son, Carl Howard; brother, Max Tully and wife, Jean; sister, Denna Myers and husband, Paul; nephews, Mark Tully, Mitchel Tully, Byran Myers, Joseph Myers; niece, Michelle Kish; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor John Jansen officiating. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
