Josephine Elizabeth Hunt

SANTA FE – Mrs. Josephine Elizabeth Hunt passed from this life Thursday, July 27, 2017, in Nassau Bay.

Born November 8, 1924 in Houston, Mrs. Hunt had been a lifetime resident of Santa Fe. She had worked as an assistant bookbinder at American Printing and later at UTMB where she retired. Josephine was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Friendship Club, Alter Society, H2U and she loved to cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Frances (Muscanere) Tombrella; husband, Louis Edward Hunt, Jr.; son, Edward Louis Hunt; sisters, Lilly Blume and Camella Yarbrough; great-grandson, Trent Randall Womack.

Survivors include her son, Wade Hunt and wife, Margaret of Santa Fe; brother, Joe Jack Tombrella of Florida; sister, Rose Kimbrell of Grand Prairie; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; good friend and companion of 22 years, Alton Ramber.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend Kris Ramber officiating.

Pallbearers will be Coletyn Hunt, Wade Hunt, Jr., Scott McCracken, Cavan Womack, Jacob Womack and Randy Womack. Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
