SANTA FE – Ms. Linda Ruth Bain passed from this life Thursday afternoon, December 28, 2017, in La Marque.

Born April 10, 1947 in Alvin Ms. Bain had been a lifelong resident of Galveston County. She was a member of Day Spring Church of the Assemblies of God in Santa Fe. Linda enjoyed crafts of all kinds, including making teddy bears, crosses, blankets, blessing books and many other items. Every craft item she made had one of her favorite Bible scriptures attached before being given away.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ida Bell (Brandon) Bain; sister, Kathy Bain.

Survivors include her brother, Joseph C. Smith, Jr., and wife, Kathy of Rockport. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX, (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Roger Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, 300 Oak Park Drive, Alvin.

Pallbearers will be Nick Achille, Sr., Nick Achille, Jr., Nick Achille, III, Eddie Cornelius, Jared Cornelius and Felix Lee. Honorary bearer will be Clyde Brandon.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Linda's name to Pleasant Hills Childrens Home, Post Office Box 1177, Fairfield, Texas 75840.
