SANTA FE – After a 2 year courageous battle with cancer, Mrs. Linda Salas, age 59, of Santa Fe, TX passed away on March 3, 2018, at her home,  surrounded by many of her loving family members.

Born June 6, 1958 to Florinda and the late Joe Selvera, she was the 2nd youngest of 8 children.  She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Eduardo Salas; 2 daughters Nina Martinez and Nikki Ibarra; son-in-law’s, Michael Martinez and Martin Ibarra; grandkids, Michael and Hayven Martinez; soon to be Baby Ibarra, along with siblings, in-laws and extended family..

Linda was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, TX.  She faithfully attended and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  Linda lived a beautiful life surrounded by lots of family.  She lived life to the fullest and faced her battle head on with an unwavering faithful spirit. Her constant faith, smile and joking around will reside in her families hearts permanently. Linda was always a bold, honest, fun loving force we were fortunate enough to know.  She will be dearly missed and a part of that spirit will be carried in each and every one of her family member’s hearts.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, with funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Father John Kappe officiating.
