Loraine Carol “Rainey” (Hill) Maynard

SANTA FE - Mrs. Loraine Carol “Rainey” (Hill) Maynard passed from this life Saturday morning, July 23, 2016, in Webster.

Born August 14, 1952 in Lebanon, OH, Mrs. Maynard had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1988. Loraine worked in the school cafeteria for 25 years, she enjoyed people, loved her family, especially her grandchildren, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and going to garage sales.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary (Hesler) Hill; brother, Donnie Hill; sister, Susie Hill Everson and stepson, Shannon Maynard.

Survivors include her husband, Wallace Maynard, Jr.; daughter, Vanessa Steele and partner, Kim Birkmeyer; stepsons, Wallace “Gator” Maynard, III and wife, Denise, Brian Maynard and wife, Cheryl; brothers, Ernie Hill and wife, Ellen, Dale Hill and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Brandon Western and girlfriend, Kelsey, Chance Maynard, Nick Maynard, Timothy Maynard, Jace Maynard; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Reverend Alex Yovan officiating.  A private cremation will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
