SHENANDOAH, TX - Mrs. Lucille Speights passed from this life Thursday, November 2, 2017, in Shenandoah, Tx.

Lucille was born on August 4, 1920 in Hemphill, Tx. She was raised on a small farm in depression era east Texas. During WWII, she took a job as a welder in a ship yard to help support the cause and in 1947 she married Weldon Speights, who would become her loving husband until his death in 1988. From that time forward Lucille’s life was focused on spending time with her family. She cherished the time she could be with her grandkids and great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Molly (Stroud) Dubose; husband, Weldon Speights and all of her many siblings.

Survivors include her son, Michael Wayne Speights and wife Corliss; granddaughters, Christie Ingram and husband, Chris, Shea Muehsler and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Cash Ingram, Landon Laney, Reagan Laney, Lexi Laney, Erin and Katherine Muehsler.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 11, at 2pm., at Spring First Church, 1851 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring, TX, 77388.
