HITCHCOCK - Mrs. Marie A. Counsellor passed from this life Tuesday morning, October 17, 2017, in Alvin.

Born October 26, 1916 in Frydek, Texas, Mrs. Counsellor had worked in the housekeeping department at John Sealy Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1979. She had been a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was a member of the Friendship Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolf and Julia (Kutra) Zalesak; husband, Lee Griffith Counsellor; son, Clayton L. Fee; daughter, La Verne E. Lloyd; brothers, Rudolf , Emil, Joe and Frank Zalesak; sister, Annie Hobizal.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Diana Fee of Alvin; son-in-law, Charlie Lloyd of Austin; sister, Antonia Hobizal of Victoria; grandchildren, Kathy Burd and husband, Donnie of Santa Fe, Linda Graf and husband, Keith of Austin, great-grandchildren, Andrew Bryant, Taryn Becker and Taylor Gibbons all of Santa Fe; great-great-grandchildren, Damien Bryant and Marley Mae Lou Naranjo of Santa Fe.

Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2017, from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. with a service beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Reverend John Kappe officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be David Romano, Trent Romano, Ron DeVries, Ronnie DeVries, Luis Naranjo and Donnie Burd.
