Mary Ann Adams

SANTA FE - Mary went to be with Jesus on February 1, 2018. At her passing she was surrounded by her loving husband of 68 years and family. She was born in Lenapah, Oklahoma on July 10, 1930. She graduated from La Marque High School in 1948. She married Winston Adams on August 26, 1949. Mary was a resident of Santa Fe, TX for over 55 years. After being a homemaker for many years, Mary started a day care center in her home and later became a Mary Kay consultant. She was baptized in March of 1946 and began teaching Sunday school in 1952 at the First Church of God in Texas City, TX where she was a lifetime member.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Stager; siblings, Wynn Conner, Charles Stager, Ruth Brown, Don Stager, Robert Stager and Marjorie Smith; granddaughters, Miranda Denise Adams and Taylor Denise Adams; daughter-in-law, Debbie Adams.

Survivors include her loving husband, Winston Thomas Adams; children, Rebecca and husband, Michael, Kenneth and wife, Carolyn, Steven and wife, Carolyn and Jeffrey and wife, Maureen; grandchildren, Greg, Kelly, Mark and Ashley Adams, Ben, Alicia and Matt Withers, Sara and Brandon Rabel, David, Melissa, Nathan, Alicia, Patricia, Jeff, Jessica and Adriana Adams, Rachel and Curtis Moor, Joshua Adams and Morgan Moranda; great-grandchildren, Tylee, Gregory, Emma and Isabella Adams, Arewyn and Gwendolyn Withers, Bailey, Kami and Jaxon Rabel, Devin, Jasmin, Andrew, Abigail and Anthony Adams, Alene and Qintessa McCaffrey; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held at Hayes Funeral Home in Hitchcock on Sunday, February 4th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the First Church of God in Texas City, TX at 10:00 on Monday, February 5th, followed by a graveside service at Hayes Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to The First Church of God, 2209 29th Street North, Texas City, Texas 77590.
