Merlyn R. “Rocky” Ingalls

LA MARQUE – Mr. Merlyn R. “Rocky” Ingalls passed from this life Friday morning, September 22, 2017, in La Marque.

Born October 22, 1935 in Colburn, Wisconsin, Mr. Ingalls was previously a resident of Elgin. He proudly served his county in the United States Air Force. Rocky enjoyed riding motorcycles and country music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irwin H. and Gladys (Chatfield) Ingalls; wives, Ann Ingalls and Patsy Ingalls; sisters, Alta and Kathy.

Survivors include his daughters, Darlyne Ingalls of La Marque and Rhonda Harshbarger and husband, Edd of Tomball; brother, Stoney Ingalls and wife, Corene of Elgin; grandchildren, Richard Brasher and Krystal Hill; great-grandchildren, Connor Brasher, Max Hill, Avery Hill and M.J. Brasher; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor John Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Brasher, Edd Harshbarger, George Hill, James Ingalls, Donnie Sawyer and Roy Hall.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
