Michelene “Mike” Jacob
SANTA FE – Ms. Michelene Jacob, known affectionately as “Mike”, passed from this life Friday evening, December 15, 2017, in Santa Fe, surrounded by her family.
Born January 28, 1948 in Texas City, Texas, Mike had been a resident of Houston since 1977, previously of Hitchcock. She was a 1966 graduate of Hitchcock High school, a charter member of Midway Church of Christ and had worked for many years in the engineering field as an administrative assistant. She had been a dedicated member of Alston Road Church of Christ in Sugar Land since her move to Houston. Mike put her Christian hospitality into action and made it her life’s goal to bring people to Christ. Her generous nature made a difference in all the lives she touched, and she’ll always be remembered by her culinary skills and open doors.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard L. “Bernie” Jacob; and sister, Christelle Jacob.
Survivors include her mother, Charlene Jacob; brother, George Jay Jacob and wife, Rhea; sister, Tawy Muehe and husband, Clifford, all of Santa Fe; nephews, Ethan Reed Jacob, Sean Muehe and wife, Elishia.
A celebration of her life will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, at Alston Road Church of Christ, 13302 Alston Road in Sugar Land, with Mr. John Kilgore and Mr. Russell McLaughlin officiating. A private cremation was conducted by Hayes Funeral Home.
A memorial visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway Six.
