Petra “Pat” Gonzalez Balli

HITCHCOCK - Mrs. Petra “Pat” Gonzalez Balli went to be with the Lord Saturday evening, April 1, 2017, in Webster.

Born May 14, 1931 in Houston, Mrs. Balli had been a longtime resident of Hitchcock. She had worked at UTMB (Moody Foundation) with children that had special needs. Pat spent her life creating a loving home for her husband, son and her 3 parrots who she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Demetria (Rodriguez) Gonzalez; husband, Jimmy G. Balli, Sr.; her only son, Jimmy G. Balli, Jr; brothers, Raymond Gonzalez, Manuel Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez, Jimmy Gonzalez; sisters, Janie Leyva, Pila Menchaca, Santos Serna, Henrietta DeLosSantos, Romanita Ramos and Laurencia Elizondo.

Survivors include her sisters, Catherine Harness, Victoria Alanez; beloved and devoted nephew, Frank Leyva and wife, Irene; sister-in-law, Janie Rodriguez who was by her side until the end; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Reverend John Kappe officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Simon Leyva, Phillip Leyva, John Leyva, Joe Leyva, Jake Rodriguez, Jr. and Steve Karamisos, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Frank Leyva and Robert Rodriguez.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. led by, Mr. Robert Rodriguez.
