SANTA FE – Mr. Rodrigo “Rod” Garcia passed from this life Wednesday morning, June 14, 2017, in Houston.

Born May 5, 1957 in Los Fresnos, Texas, Mr. Garcia had been a resident of Santa Fe for 25 years. Rod was an avid softball player for over 30 years and enjoyed spending time with his 5 grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Concepcion Garcia.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 26 years, Silvia Garcia; father, Pedro Garcia; daughters, Hope Morales and husband, Richard of Houston, Alma McBride and husband, Ben of Houston; brothers, Rafael Garcia and wife, Erma, Roberto Garcia and wife, Alma, Rodolfo Garcia, Jose Garcia, Pedro Garcia and wife, Michelle; sisters, Isabel Garcia, Concepcion Garcia, Lupita Herrera and husband, J.R.; grandchildren, Alexzander, Nicholas, Noah, Olivia, Lucas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
