SANTA FE - Mrs. Rosemarie Russell passed from this life Monday morning, March 12, 2018, in Galveston.

Born November 19, 1935 in Galveston, TX, Mrs. Russell had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1978, previously of Galveston. She graduated from Ball High in 1953 and later earned her associates degree from John Sealy Nursing School which allowed her to start her career at UTMB as a registered nurse. Rosemarie enjoyed tending to her garden and raising cows on the family farm. She attended Trinity Episcopal Church and later attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Rosemarie was a devoted wife and mother who will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Edward and Mary (Striz) Polivka; husband, Harlan Ronald Russell, Jr. and son, Kim Russell.

Survivors include her son, Harlan Ronald Russell, III and wife, Elisa; daughter, Lorie Russell all of Santa Fe; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Russell of Montgomery, TX; brother, F. Edward Polivka, Jr. and wife, Patsy of La Marque; grandchildren, Steven Russell, Jacob Russell, Christopher Russell, Jack Russell; nieces, Mary Lading and Nancy Simental; nephew, Frank E. Polivka, III.

A graveside service will be held at Galveston Memorial Park on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
