Thomas Allan “Tom” Patterson

SANTA FE - Mr. Thomas Allan “Tom” Patterson passed from this life Tuesday morning, December 19, 2017, in Texas City.

Born September 9, 1951 in Angleton, TX, Mr. Patterson had been a longtime resident of Santa Fe, previously of Galveston. Tom was a pipefitter by trade, but was a man of many talents and had held several different jobs in his life.  He attended Calvary Crossroads Church. Tom enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and had been a member of the South Texas Band in his younger days, but still enjoyed playing with his brother and nephew on family holidays. His greatest accomplishment in life were his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, E.L. Patterson; brothers, William Keith and Stephen Ray Patterson; sister, Francis Luanne Murphy-Cox; nephew, Stephen Pricey Patterson and son, Chance Thomas Patterson.

Survivors include his mother, Lillian (Shivers) Patterson; brother, Charles “Chuck” Patterson and wife, Margaret; sons, Thomas “Mike” Patterson and wife, Erin, John Patterson and wife, Paige, Devon Patterson, Matthew Patterson; daughters, Marishia Nichols and husband, Scott, Alexus Patterson, Sharon “Beth” Patterson; grandchildren, Lucas Amato, Ethan Patterson, Skylee Patterson, Liam Patterson, Emmalynn Patterson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the First Church of God, 2209 29th Street North, Texas City, with Pastor Johnny Angel officiating. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
