Viola (Tiny) Francis Hart 

SANTA FE - Mrs. Viola Francis Hart passed from this life peacefully Sunday, February 19, 2017, at home surrounded by her family. 

Born January 15, 1929 in Galveston, one of her early jobs was as a mail clerk at UTMB “Old Red” where she met and married a young, red headed maintenance man with superb dancing skills, who became the love of her life, Bobby.  She was proud to be a professional secretary and retired from both Amoco and Unisys, a NASA contractor.  Though a small framed lady, she possessed a tremendous capacity for love and a heart full of kindness. She enjoyed visiting with friends, quilting, Elvis Presley, but her passion was her family.

Tiny and Bobby were inseparable and shared many memories on the dance floor. She celebrated her children’s triumphs and was the rock they clinged to in times of sadness. Tiny was the best “Nanny” ever to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Viola will be deeply missed by all and their lives are so much richer from her touch. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Walter and Louise Florence (Gentsch) Zingelmann; brother, Robert Zingelmann; sisters, Velma Lane and Lois Wade. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Robert (Bobby) Hart; son, Robby Hart, Jr., and wife, Lisa of Santa Fe; daughters, Peggy Hart of Santa Fe, Janet Hart of Santa Fe, Cindy Davis and husband, Bart of Sandia Park, New Mexico; grandchildren, Kristi Pohl, Robert Hart, III, Jason Davis, Kelly Hart; great-grandchildren, Danica Pohl, Alyssa Pohl, Addison Pohl.   

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend John Melcher officiating. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Bart Davis, Jason Davis, Robert Hart, III, Eddie Karbowski and Juan Pohl. 

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.  

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Viola’s name to the charity of your choice.
