Marie Wynn

 SANTA FE - Mrs. Marie Wynn passed from this life Saturday afternoon, February 11, 2012, at her home.

      Born November 9, 1923 in Hertfordshire, England, Mrs. Wynn had been a resident of Santa Fe for 58 years, previously of Galveston. She had been a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, the Santa Fe Senior Citizens and she enjoyed sewing.

      She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 51 years, William Olan Wynn; son, Jeffrey William Wynn; granddaughter, Miranda Kay “Mindy” Ellis; parents, William and Hilda Florence (Eames) Welsh; brothers, Leonard William and Reginald Sidney Welsh; sisters, Annie Florence Owen and Evelyn May Seeby.

      Survivors include her children, Hilda Marie Bradley and Claude, Nancy Lee Benningfield and Troy, all of Santa Fe, Rodger Dee Wynn and June of Dickinson and Catherine Joyce Jenkins and Dave of Santa Fe; daughter-in-law, Louise Wynn of La Marque; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; special neighbors, Phil and Linda Kelley.

      A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

      Casketbearers will be Jay Benningfield, Eric Bradley, Justin Murray, Adam Stephens, Kevin Stephens and Travis Villarreal.  Honorary casketbearers will be Brad Benningfield, Ross Benningfield, Darryl Bradley, Sr., Juan Bradley, William Bradley, Joshua Hudson, Tanner Jenkins, Garland Murray, Andrew Wardrup and Ashton Wardrup.

      Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, in the parlor of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Hwy 6, (409) 925-3501.

      Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, P.O. Box 547, Santa Fe, TX 77510 and/or to the charity of their choice.
