Virginia Cermeno Sauceda
 
LEAGUE CITY - Mrs. Virginia Cermeno Sauceda passed from this life Sunday afternoon, July 12, 2009, in League City.
 
     Born July 19, 1941 in Galveston, Mrs. Sauceda had been a longtime resident of Hitchcock until her recent move two years ago to League City.  She was a dedicated housewife and mother and was a devout member of Praise Chapel in Webster, where she had been very active over the years. A former Cub Scout Den Leader, Mrs. Sauceda will be lovingly remembered for the joy she took in taking care of her kids and grandkids. 
 
     Preceded in death by her husband, David V. Sauceda and her father, Joe E. Cermeno, she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Diane Sauceda, Jr. of Hitchcock, Albert and Monique Sauceda of LaMarque; daughter, Deborah Qualls of League City; mother, Felicitas Cermeno of Hitchcock; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Janie Cermeno, Jr. of Houston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Gilbert Perez of Houston, Anita and Fred Ramirez of Pearland; grandchildren, David, III, Justin, Brandon, Alex and Tommy Sauceda, Angela and Aaron Qualls.
 
     Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastors Tracy Stone and Christian Marquez officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
 
    Casketbearers will be Albert Sauceda, David Sauceda, III, Justin Sauceda, Alex Sauceda, Steve Lamb and Jeremiah Sauceda. Honorary Casketbearers will be Tommy Sauceda, Aaron Qualls and Brandon Sauceda. 
 
     Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.
