Sonya Elaine Williams
DAYTON - Mrs. Sonya Elaine Williams passed from this life Monday morning, February 6, 2012, at her home.
Born March 31, 1959 in Orange, Mrs. Williams had been a resident of Dayton since 2003, previously of Pasadena. She worked for Home Health Concepts for 15 years, was a member of Crosby Church and the Boilermakers Union in Slidell, LA. Sonya’s passions included flower gardening, where she was known for her green thumb, cooking and baking, and most importantly taking care of family and the elderly.
Preceded in death by her mother, Eddis Lea Bryant; daughter, Amber Star Marx; survivors include her husband of 9 years, Robert Reagan Williams of Dayton; sons, Heath Eric Wingo of Tomball, Eric Lee Williams of Colmesneil; daughter, Becki Denise Williams of San Antonio; son-in-law, Robert Stringer; grandchildren, Megan Pellerin, Savannah Pellerin, Ristyon Stringer, Mason Williams; great grandson, Isaiah Avitia; brother, Richard Dale Bishop and sister, Kimberly Diane Holmes and husband, Ricky, all of Newton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501 with Pastor Allen Graves officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Nathan Bishop, Kevin Fell, Cody Rogers, Dusty Rogers, Robert Stringer and Joseph Wagner. Honorary bearer will be Heath Wingo.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
