Joe Padilla Selvera

SANTA FE – Joe Padilla Selvera, age 68, passed away April 11, 2024, at home while surrounded in love from his family.

Joe was born April 3, 1956. Joe was a loving, caring, brave, and smart man who held his family very close to his heart. He spent his time laughing and joking with those he cherished and most enjoyed fun gatherings, cook-offs with his son, and quality time with his numerous grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joe F. Selvera; two sisters; Sara Deleon and Linda Salas.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Selvera; many children and grandchildren, Joe Riley and daughters, Gracie and Candace Riley, Sara and Roberto Ipina and children, Roberto Jr., Idalia, and Rachel Ipina, Jodi and Corey Holt, and daughter, Josi Holt, Keno and Ginnaffer Selvera, and children, Kimber Edwards, Scarlett, Judge, and Zada Selvera, Rey and Maegan Selvera and children, Tate and Gracie Selvera; stepsons, Butch Murphy and Jason Brasher; as well as his mother, Florinda Selvera; his sister, Mary Martinez and husband, Ernest Martinez; and their amazing family and many close friends who became a part of his family.

He was a legend in his own mind, and the time has now come for him to officially announce that "Joe has left the building"…

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m., at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Deacon Neil Lewis officiating.

Pallbearers will be Corey Holt, Robert Ipina, Robert Ipina, Sr., Jim Parnell, Keno Selvera and Rey Selvera. Honorary bearer will be Aiden Murphey.
