ALVIN – Mrs. Mary Banda Alfaro passed from this life Friday morning, March 15, 2024, in Friendswood.
Born January 14, 1937, in McAllen, Texas, she was a valued member of Baker Ripley, House campus in Houston, dedicating her time and talents to serving others. A lover of games of chance, Mary found excitement in the world of casinos. However, above all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family. Mary’s legacy of love and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lino and Guadalupe (Villalobos) Banda; husband, Ambrosia Alfaro; daughter, Sylvia Guerrero; sister, Dominga Cervantes; brothers, Paul Banda, Lino Banda, Estathio Banda.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Alfaro of Houston; daughters, Geneva Garcia of Alvin, Victoria Perez of Tomball, Elizabeth Flores of Manvel; brothers, Rene Banda and Ricky Banda of Rosenberg; sisters, Marcella Mata of Houston, Rosa Banda of Richmond, Linda Deleon and husband, Isador of Sealy, Yolanda Galvan of Needville; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21,2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
