     HOUSTON – Mr. Billy Glenn Ballard passed from this life Wednesday morning, May 10, 2017, in Webster, Texas.

     Born October 1, 1945 in Myrtle Springs, Texas, Mr. Ballard had been a long time area resident. Billy earned his Bachelor’s Degree from East Texas State and taught History and English at Canton High School and Santa Fe High School retiring after 21 years. He then worked in the Aerospace Industry until retirement in 2011. Recently he worked as a Guest Logistics Agent for MLSBC Cruises at the Port of Galveston.

     He enjoyed jig saw puzzles, travel and spending time with family.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, German Oscar (G.O.) and Lela A. (Blue) Ballard.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Peggy Young Ballard; sons, Zane Ballard and wife Stephanie of Brownsboro, TX, Donald Stafford and wife Tammy of La Porte, TX., Robert Stafford and wife Stacey of Kissimmee, FL. daughters; Julie Flynn and husband Gary of Frisco, TX, April Mitchell and husband Jason of Keller, TX.; brother, Danny Ballard, sisters, Jean Bedingfield, Suzanne Collard, Kathy Burkam; 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

     Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, at League City Church of Christ, 1801 East Main Street, League City, Texas
