SANTA FE – Blayklee Pate Whitaker passed from this life Wednesday morning, December 4, 2019, in Hitchcock

Blayklee was born July 24, 2019 in Galveston to Blayk Whitaker and Marisa Morales. She loved to be held by her brothers and sister and gave the best kisses. Her beautiful brown eyes and sweet smile melted the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet her. Although her time here on earth was short, Blayklee forever changed our hearts and our lives.  

Survivors include her parents, Blayk Whitaker and Marisa Morales; brothers, Braxton Lopez, Brent Whitaker; sister, April Whitaker-Jones; grandparents, Alba and Randy Soukup, Richard Morales, Sophia Ramirez, Brent Whitaker; Tracy Cantrell, Jennifer and Chris Moody; great-grandparents, Ada and Domingo Gonzales, Palmira and Raymond Morales, Barbara Freeman, Randolph Soukup, Robbie Soukup ; great-great-grandparents, Mary Ellen Griswold, Hattie Watson; aunts and uncles, Tessah Ramirez, Kelsey Whitaker, Mykah  Soukup, Grayson  Soukup, Amanda Fails, Richard Morales.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Judge Mike Nelson officiating.  Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
