HITCHCOCK – Mrs. Cathy Rose Gravitt passed from this life Friday morning, December 1, 2017, in La Marque.

Born January 23, 1957 in Texas City, Mrs. Gravitt had been a lifelong resident of Galveston County. She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, puzzles, country music and John Wayne movies and spending time with her grandchildren and her sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Edward and Nelta Maurine (Gaines) Perry; husband, William Daniel “Danny” Gravitt, Jr.; sister, Nelta “Sissy” Evans.

Survivors include her son, William D. “Rusty” Gravitt, III and wife, Melissa Palmer of Dickinson; brothers, Raymond Perry and wife, Ann, Ronnie Perry from Texas City; sisters, Connie Martinez and husband, Billy of Santa Fe, Linda Utley of Galveston; grandchildren, Kaydin Raeyn Gravitt, Katie Palmer, Kole Alyxander Gravitt, Tiffany Daniele Minor, Ryan Michael Payne Warren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2017, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor John Newton officiating.
