ALGOA - Mrs. Daisy Leigh Newlin passed from this life Friday morning, December 15, 2017, in Webster.

Born December 4, 1967 in Lumberton, Mississippi, Mrs. Newlin had been a resident of Algoa for 10 years, previously of Lumberton, Mississippi. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave W. and Nancy Louise (Warden) Mitchell and a daughter, Jennifer Hibley.

Survivors include her loving husband of 5 years, Charles “Chuck” Newlin; sons, Tom Hibley, Jr. and wife, Aulisha of Frogmore, Louisiana, Eugene “Dink” Hibley of Lumberton, Mississippi; daughters, Vinell Hibley of Lumberton, Mississippi, Morgan Newlin of Santa Fe; brother, Jack Stanford and wife, Nancy of Wiggins, Mississippi; sister, Vinnie Smith and husband, Sonny of Purvis, Mississippi; grandchildren, Tommy Hibley, Nancy Henning, Charles Henning, Steven Hibley, Wesley Hibley, Thomas Hibley, Hailey Hibley, Samantha Welch; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Braylon, Kingston, Phoenix, Thomas, Jr., Trenton, Jennifer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Mr. Earl Hyatt officiating.  Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Hyatt, Jake Hyatt, Jeremy Hyatt, Steven Newlin, Tommy Hibley, Don Henning, Kenneth Lord and Albert Hyatt. Honorary bearer will be Steven Hibley.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
