SANTA FE- Mr. Enrique “Henry” Reyes, Sr., passed from this life Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018, in Texas City.

Born January 21, 1937 in Los Reyes Ranch, San Diego, Texas, Mr. Reyes had been a resident of Santa Fe for 24 years previously of Hitchcock. He enjoyed being outdoors whether that was hunting, riding horses or bar-b-queing with a cold beer in his hand. Henry had a funny sense of humor and could always be found joking around until it came to his scratch off’s – then it was all business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Victoria (Garza) Reyes; brother, Ernesto Reyes of Corpus Christi.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Dolores Reyes; sons, Felipe Reyes and wife, Nilda, Rick Reyes and wife, Kimberly, Henry Reyes, Jr., and wife, Ellenor, James Reyes and wife, Pamela, Rudy Reyes and wife, Tammy; daughter, Sylvia Villarreal. Brother, Federico Reyes, sister, Facha Reyes both of San Diego, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563, (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Jose Ortega officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Felipe Reyes, Jr., Dillon Reyes, Domingo Morales, Jr., Gustavo Reyes, Russell Reyes and Justin Reyes.
