Eula Mae Dennis
TEXAS CITY – Mrs. Eula Mae Dennis passed from this life Wednesday evening, December 5, 2018, in Texas City.
Eula Mae was born August 29, 1948 in Lafayette, LA but didn’t stay long. When she was young, she and her family moved to Texas and in 1966 she graduated from Texas City High School. She was a great painter especially when it came to scenery and landscape. Eula loved her grandchildren and loved sharing her artistic talent with them through their special craft nights. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and always looked forward to watching the boys in blue play on TV. Game nights at the heritage crossing retirement apartments were particularly special to Eula. She enjoyed spending those nights with her friends and playing some of her favorite games like dominoes and checkers. Eula was a wonderful mother and granny who made you feel better for just having been around her and we’ll forever grateful for her love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Stanley and Lyness (Leroy) Trahan.
Survivors include her son, Danny Shane Dennis, , and wife, Kandis Renee; daughter, Amanda Castillo and husband, Robert; brother, Clarence William Trahan; sisters, Ann Lois Leopard, Verna Lee Perry; grandchildren, Brandi Castillo, Beaux Castillo, Clarisse Castillo, Makayla Dennis, Elijah Dennis, Emmi Dennis, Elliot Dennis and numerous nieces and nephew.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1604 9th Avenue North, Texas City, Texas 77590.
