James Tolman Anderson

     ALVIN – Mr. James Tolman Anderson, surrounded by his loving family, graduated to heaven on Wednesday night, July 18, 2018, in Alvin, Texas.

     Born November 17, 1941 in Negley, Ohio, Jim had been a resident of Alvin since 1971. He spent his life loving Jesus, his family and his church.

     Jim attended Living Faith Outreach Church in Dickinson, Texas for 18 years and was a member of Helping Hands Ministry, Wisdom Walkers and the Food Pantry. His heart was to serve others and help the poor.

     Jim was a loving husband, father and Papa. He knew how to fix everything, prayed for everyone around him and always shared his “words of wisdom.”

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Clyde and Sara Jane (Boyd) Anderson; sister, Clara Elaine Brinkley.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Marian Vogel Anderson; sons, James Stephen Anderson and wife, Christine of Santa Fe, Rod Joseph Anderson and wife, Shana of Alvin; daughters, Christine Ann Chapman and husband Tad of Alvin, Amy Elizabeth Broussard and husband, Anthony of League City; brother, Samuel Anderson and wife, Frances of Denver, North Carolina; sisters, Sara Jo Halbert of Bay City, Helen Kay Wigton of New Brighton, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Paul, Aaron and Jacob Chapman, Stephen, Kaitlyn and Bailey Anderson, Sean, Willy and Jonny Devlin, Tristan, Alyssa and Ethan Broussard; several nieces and nephews.

     Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 with celebration of life services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Living Faith Outreach Church, 3700 Deats Road, Dickinson, Texas, with Pastors John and Jeana Gilligan officiating. Private family interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

     Pallbearers will be grandsons, Stephen Anderson, Tristan Broussard, Aaron Chapman, Jacob Chapman, Paul Chapman and Paul Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Sean Devlin, Willy Devlin, Jonny Devlin.

     Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Jim's name to Living Faith Outreach Church, 3700 Deats Road, Dickinson, Texas 77539.
