BAY CITY - Mr. Jerome Anselmo, Jr., passed from this life Sunday afternoon, October 22, 2017, in Houston.

Born October 7, 1955 in Texas City, Mr. Anselmo had been a resident of Bay City for 15 years, previously of Pearland. He proudly served our country as a marksman in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam. Jerome enjoyed gardening (he learned from his grandfather), walking on the beach, fishing, deer hunting and loved playing with his grandkids who affectionately called him “Papa Jay”.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Josephine and Mike Anselmo; uncle, Joseph V. Anselmo; aunts, Christine Martin and Camilla Anselmo.

Survivors include his loving wife, Paula Paukert; parents, Jerome Sr. and Joan Anselmo; sons, Mark Allen Paukert, II and wife, Michelle, Matthew Allen Paukert; daughters, Kasey Pilsner and husband, Mark, Kelley Tuttoilmondo and husband, Brady, Katie Bowles and husband, Marcus; sister, Debbie Phillips and husband, Donnie Jr.; uncle, Roy Anselmo and wife, Jackie; aunts, Mayme Griffin Fitch and husband, Bernie, Renee Anselmo; grandchildren, Jordan and wife, Jessica, Emily, Ryland, Sammie, Garren, Legend, Brayden, Destini, Legacy, Chandler and great granddaughter, Carson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
