     SEABROOK - Mr. John Harris Reitmeyer passed from this life Sunday morning, June 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

     Born January 4, 1960 in Texas City, John had been a resident of Seabrook for the last year, previously of Montgomery, League City, Santa Fe and Hitchcock. John attended the University of Houston in Clear Lake before beginning his career as a medical supplies salesman for the McKesson Corporation, working for them for 25 years. He coached little league sports, encouraging the kids to always have fun, enjoyed playing competitive sports, golfing, cooking, watching college football (especially Texas A&M) was an avid Texans and Astros fan and always enjoyed a good laugh.

     He was preceded in death by his father, William Tacquard “Bill” Reitmeyer, Jr., sister and brother-in-law, Julie and John Hillman and nephew, Joseph Hillman.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 7 years, Norma Reitmeyer; mother, Julie Reitmeyer of Hitchcock; son, Brooks Harris Reitmeyer of Santa Fe; daughters, Leslie (Reitmeyer) Reese and husband, Alan of Tomball, Madison Bunde of Hitchcock, Morgan McWhirter and husband, Dean of Santa Fe; brothers, W.T. “Bill” Reitmeyer, III and wife, Kay of Santa Fe, Albert Reitmeyer and wife, Sharon of Galveston, Wayne Reitmeyer and wife, Debbie of Hitchcock; grandchild, Jensen Alan Reese; numerous nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Clear Creek Community Church, with Reverend Greg Poore officiating. A private cremation will be conducted by Hayes Funeral Home.

     Pallbearers will be Tim Martin, Albert Reitmeyer, Bill Reitmeyer, III, Brooks Reitmeyer, Wayne Reitmeyer and George Sampson.

     Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
