Joshua Lee “Josh” Wooten

ALGOA - Mr. Joshua Lee “Josh” Wooten passed from this life Tuesday morning, February 19, 2019, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Josh was born October 11, 2001 in Webster, Texas and grew up in Algoa. He had a big heart for those he loved, especially his friends and family. Josh had a free spirit and was happiest when he had the wind on his face from a motorcycle ride or testing the speed of a classic hot rod. It truly was his passion. He lived his brief life in the fast lane and he will be deeply missed by those lucky enough to have seen him drive by.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donnie Lee Wooten, William Lance Justice; great-grandparents, Oscar and Manon Edwards, Cartha and Mildred Wooten, Doris Caudill.

Survivors include his father, Gary Wooten and wife, Juli; mother, Jessica Justice; sisters, Victoria Vanderheyden, Brianna Faye; grandmother, Jeanette Lavon Wooten of Algoa; grandparents, Chuck and Kathy Miller of La Marque; aunts and uncles, Bobby and Sherry Wooten, Kenneth Moore, Cathy and Joe Blount, Ted and Stephany Cantu, Dakota White and fiancé, Bobbi Jo Stephenson; numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor John Seaton officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
