Michael Philip Dean
DANBURY – Mr. Michael Philip Dean passed from this life Saturday evening, August 25, 2018, at the VA Medical Center in Houston.
Born November 22, 1947 in Jackson, Michigan, Mr. Dean proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and worked for 42 years with Chevron, retiring from the offshore drilling rigs as an operator. Michael was a member of Community Baptist Church and volunteered as a crossing guard at the Danbury school. He enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Dean and Evelyn (Brantmyer) Cooley; grandparents; grandson, Michael Jeremy Gay; and his sister, Martha Dean.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 10 years, Debra Dean; his children, Kalan Dean and wife, Kristina, Kim Caster and husband, Jay; step-children, Brent Zwahr and wife, Crystal; Amanda Herndon and husband, Jason; brother, Mark Dean and wife, Glenna; sister, Linda Mills and husband, Harry; grandchildren, Ryan Cartmill and husband, Tommy, Madison and Mason, Kaylee, Ella and Heidi Dean; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jordan Gay, Ashlynn and Kade Cartmill.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Danbury Community Baptist Church, 6114 5th Street, Danbury, Texas. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
