Norma Ann Price

     HITCHCOCK – Ms. Norma Ann Price passed from this life Tuesday morning, May 2, 2017, at her home. Born March 11, 1928 in Breckenridge, Texas, Norma had been a resident of Hitchcock for over 42 years and was married to Jess Price for 49 years until his death in 1996. She was employed by Sears in the personnel department in Galveston until her retirement.

     Mom loved working in the yard and would rescue any cat or dog who looked hungry. She loved being part of the First Baptist Church of Hitchcock, playing bunco with her friends and meeting with Sears retirees for lunch and her TOPS group. She loved being loved by Nick Sckittone, her companion for the last 17 years.

     In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Arlene Kent and sister, Phyllis McAdams.

     Survivors include sons and daughters-in-laws, Brad and Debbie Price of Santa Fe, Michael and Cheryl Price of Galveston, Rick and Jeanine Price of Jamaica Beach; brother-in-law, Russell Price of Palestine; grandchildren, Monica Jordan and husband, Jeff, Christopher Price of Galveston; great-grandchild, Nicholas Salvagio; nieces, Kathi Wilson of Patterson, Texas and Camille Mauriello of McGregor, Texas.

     Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

     Casket bearers will be Chris Price, Joey Price, Mike Price, Stanley Price, Nicholas Salvagio and Nick Sckittone, Jr.
