HITCHCOCK - Mr. Oscar V. Jimenez passed from this life Wednesday morning, March 7, 2018, in Hitchcock.

Born October 24, 1944 in Nueva Rosita, Mexico, Mr. Jimenez had been a resident of Hitchcock for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Houston Astros and boxing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Herlinda (Valdez) Jimenez; wife, Jacinta Jimenez; brother, Roberto Jimenez; granddaughter, Elexis Preston.

Survivors include his loving wife, Maria Isabel Munoz Cervantes; sons, Roberto Jimenez and wife, JoAnn, Carlos Jimenez and wife, Alva, Frank Jimenez and wife, Rebecca; daughters, Maricella Jimenez and husband, Enrique Dubon, Karina Preston and husband, David, Sarai Jimenez and husband, Erskin, Sr.; brothers, Javier Jimenez and wife, Aurora, Hector Jimenez; sister, Carmela Jimenez and husband, Abel; grandchildren, Jeannette, Jasity, Julissa, Kamri, Jayden, Devin, Davin, Erskin Jr., Gabriella; great-grandchildren, Jesenia, Miguel Jr. and Kadynce; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with Mr. Marco Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Arturo Flores, GiannCarlo Flores, Carlos Jimenez, Frank Jimenez, Manuel Jimenez and Miguel Saldierna.
